If you asked me what my most prized possession was I'd say this little ordinary notebook that's titled 'DREAMS AND SCHEMES'. I started writing my favorite quotes and lyrics in it almost 4 years ago. Its nothing special, just chicken scratch words written haphazardly on the first fourty pages, but to me its inspiration.
I used to sit for hours before I started a new painting searching for ideas and a direction. I started my "inspiration station" so that all the words that inspire me could be found in one place. I don't pretend to think I have great advice for other creatives out there but I think keeping an "inspiration station" is something anyone and everyone should do- whether it be a pinterest board or a simple old notebook. It's wonderful to see each individual inspiration as you find it, but it's even more wonderful (maybe even reassuring) to see the large collection of inspiration you've accumulated over time without much effort at all.
